The Bedhead Classic Bucket hat is a UPF50+ kids sun hat featuring our unique 'anti-flop' technology ensuring brims won't flop in front of their eyes!

Made with super-stretchy and lightweight cotton jersey that keeps kids heads cool under the hot Australian conditions rated UPF50+ excellent protection. The classic styling of our Bucket hat is built for comfort and has a fit that is second to none.

NOTE: Chin strap can easily be removed if required without compromising the quality of the hat - you just need scissors!

Size Advice

One fact you can be sure of - no two heads are the same! ALWAYS measure your child's head before purchasing to ensure getting the accurate size.

Step 1: Distract the child with a toy or food (so they don't try and help you!).

Step 2: Use a measuring tape to take measurement. Otherwise use a ribbon to take the size then use a ruler to find the measurement.

Step 3: Purchase the size closest to your childs measurement. Our hats are very stretchy and will grow up to 4cm.

FOR EXAMPLE: The child measures 45cms, you will need the 47cm size giving plenty of future wear. It's important to get the hat closest to your head size, if it's too big the hat will block the child's vision, causing dis-comfort and a good chance of them pulling it off.

We pack and post orders within 48 hours of receiving them (unless otherwise stated). All parcels are sent via Australia Post with tracking included.

Standard Shipping: 3–5 business days

Express Shipping: 1–3 business days

Please note: Once your parcel has been handed over to Australia Post, delivery times are out of our control.

We offer flat-rate shipping across Australia:

Standard Shipping: $10.00

Express Shipping: $15.00

FREE Standard Shipping on orders over $129.00

Some larger or heavier items may not be eligible for our standard shipping rates and may incur additional charges. These will be clearly noted in the product description.

Local Delivery (Bordertown SA only)

Available for addresses within Bordertown town limits.

Orders over $50.00: Free local delivery

Orders under $50.00: $5.00 flat rate

We aim to deliver within 48 business hours. Please select the local delivery option at checkout and ensure a physical, residential address is provided (no PO Boxes). Orders must be safe to leave unattended.

International Shipping

We currently only ship within Australia. International orders are not available at this time.

Returns and Exchanges Policy

Full-priced items can be returned for store credit or exchange.

Sale items are final sale, however, sale clothing and accessories may be exchanged for another size or product if available.

All returns must be requested within 14 days of receiving your order.

Items must be unworn, unused, with tags attached and in original packaging.

For hygiene reasons, we do not accept returns on swimwear and intimates.

Return postage is at the buyer’s expense.

How to Request a Return or Exchange

Email us at hello@hellobuttercup.com.au within 14 days of receiving your order.

Please include your order number, reason for return or exchange, and proof of purchase.

Wait for our reply before sending anything back—unapproved returns will not be accepted.

Once approved, return your item using a trackable shipping method.

We’ll process your store credit or exchange within 7 business days of receiving your item.

Store Credit and Exchanges

Store credits will be emailed to you and can be used at any time.

Exchanges will be shipped once your return has been received and inspected.

Faulty or Damaged Items

We quality-check everything with love, but if something arrives faulty or damaged, please email us at hello@hellobuttercup.com.au with your order number, a description of the issue, and photos if possible.

Once reviewed and approved, we’ll send you a prepaid return label.

You’ll be able to choose between a full refund or a replacement item.
